4x5.65 Hard Shade Matte Box for Cameras with Low Mics (such as Sony EX1/EX3)

• Specifically designed to avoid the low microphone on the Sony PMW-EX1 (Note: design uses an upside down back-mount; filter tray in rotating stage must be inserted from side or bottom, and can only be rotated 270 degrees from side to side around bottom)

• Can be used as clamp-on or with 15mm rods support. Note: if using with a non-Cavision rods system: requires front bracket (R156025, R1510025-40 or R1910425-40) and t-part (RST2550, RST2560, or RST2580).

• Extra wide hard shade designed specifically for HD 16:9 aspect ratio

• 4x5.65 filter tray in the front filter stage helps avoid vignetting for wider lenses 

• Rotating filter stage for use with polarizing and graduated filters

• Fits a large variety of cameras and lenses including Broadcast, Mini-DV, Hybrid and DSLR (note: requires adapter rings)

Optional Adapter Rings:

• ARP1210 and AR100-77 adapter ring required for use with Sony EX1/EX3

• For clamp-on use on EX1/EX3 ARP1210 and ARP100-SBEX1 bayonet-clamp ring is recommended (please note: LCD screen must be flipped out for use with this ring)

• To clamp onto lenses with 100-120mm front outside diameter use ARP12- series plastic insert step down rings; for 85-100mm sizes use ARP1210 + ARP4- series; for sizes below 85mm use ARP1210 + ARP485 + ARP38- series (note: for lenses under 85mm a 3x3 matte box such as  MB385 series or MB3485 series recommended).

• For lenses with filter threads (such as DSLR) use the aforementioned combination plus a medium-thick (for clamp-on) or thin (for rods support) AR series ring with 82mm front thread (i.e. 85mm front outside diameter).

• Note: when using rods: for lenses under 95mm a donut ring (in combination with ARP1210) can be used as well.
