Effect Description:

The soft mist black filter combines a variety of filter technologies to create a subtle soft look. It reduces excessive sharpness but does not produce the same amount of light diffusion as the soft focus filter, while also lowering contrast slightly. It is ideal for creating a soft film look without producing an overstated special effect quality. The soft mist black filter is similar to the soft mist clear filter but has a slightly more subtle effect. Like the SMC filter it also diminishes highlight flares but does not lighten shadows as much. Cavision soft mist filters are available in a variety of density levels (1/8, 1/4 & 1/2).
